Agro ecology at Cheval Blanc

(Anti) Conventional Viticulture

At Cheval Blanc, we understand that we cannot take being exceptional for granted. As guardians of a precious and unique plot of land, our duty is to preserve it and to pass on its greatness.

We know that the choices we make today will manifest themselves tomorrow both on the land and in the glass. This is why we are totally committed to this new stage which, as with previous ones, is rooted in our values of achieving excellence and our desire to keep progressing and doing our utmost to reveal this exceptional terroir, vintage after vintage.

Our wines

The philosophy of Cheval Blanc, shared with its three other wines, is to “put a place in a glass”. The aim is to assist the birth of a wine that is a faithful reflection of its terroir, but also of the climatic conditions of its vintage. The style and the place remain timeless, unaffected by fashions and trends. Terroir, sun and rain are the true makers of each of our crus.

Château Cheval Blanc’s vineyards are mainly planted with Cabernet Franc as well as some Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
